Content is the most important part of any web-site. If you’ve
got a beautiful design, nice navigation through the site, but have nothing
really valuable for your visitors, than don’t expect them to come back
to your page very often or stay there for a long time.
To awake your visitors’ interest means to earn more money. And
the core interest of any visitor is a freely available, high-quality,
well-maintained content. Content is King!
Content is loved and respected not only by visitors. Search engines
are those who are interested in a qualitative content even more than actual humans.
And the law of search engine marketing is clear: more content – more ratings.
Providing valuable textual content a site can not only increase its
search engine visibility, but also improve its conversion rate.
The key questions, however, are where to get this content and how to keep
it fresh and updated 24/7.
Content Master will help you to deliver fresh relevant articles and
news to your site from an endless number of different sources. It
doesn’t matter if you wish to gather news on a specific narrow
topic or just get your visitors informed about all news in your region
or all over the world. Content Manager will make it for you.
The most important advantage of Content Manager comparing to other methods
of gathering information is that the whole process is fully automated.
You just set up the system, make necessary configurations for news sources,
and information starts update automatically every page load.
Where would you want to use Content Master Software?
You can invent dozens of other ways to use the software.
MAIN FEATURES of Content Master
1. Retrieve content from RSS/ATOM feeds and HTML pages directly or through proxies
There are a lot of sources on the Web that are ready to share information
with you. Some companies publish press releases; others urge to let the world
know their ideas or views; or it can be just an everyday job of specialized
services to review current events, political issues or new products. With Content
Master you automatically publish on your site articles of third parties using
RSS/ATOM feeds that they provide or just processing their main pages with the
list of recent articles. Just think – there are millions of different
resources on the Web; and all you need to do is to find the content that you
need, make some initial settings and it will be delivered directly to your
web-site.
2. Set up site look according to your needs
Content Master contains a rather advanced system that enables you to
adjust the site look just the way you want it to be. The system comes along
with the set of ready to use templates and layouts, which can be easily modified,
deleted or complemented with new ones. You can also upload your own CSS,
add a personal logo to images published on web-site. The use of some features
requires special knowledge; however, you can also do without it.
3. Integrate custom HTML code if needed
Your Content Master web-site may be as unique as your wish. You can
integrate any information in HTML format, such as external links, images,
Google AdSense code and so on.
Content Master also allows including and running local PHP scripts and
including output of removed scripts (such as http://microsoft.com/links.php),
which output can otherwise be rather dangerous.
4. Categorize retrieved content
Content Master allows to create a two-level category structure. You
can set up the system to automatically add articles from a specific source
to a category or you can sort articles manually to ensure the exact match
of the content.
5. Filter duplicated content
Some articles can be published on several sites with only slight differences.
To avoid retrieving the same content from different sites you can use the
option ‘Duplicate check-up’. The software will scrutinize all
the articles within a period you specify to check if they have some similarities.
Similar or duplicates articles will not be published. You will also be able
to determine on your own the critical value for considering an article
duplicated.
6. Quickly and easily create templates for different news sources
Creating news templates may even be called exciting. For this purpose
some very basic knowledge of HTML is needed; but in case you don’t
have this knowledge it can be easily acquired by studying examples published
on the Tech Support forum or reading explanations provided in the manual.
By making an appropriate template, you can extract particular parts of an
article, delete ads, images or notes that you don’t wish to see on
your site. You can also eliminate unnecessary links or text formatting.
7. Use automatic or manual news moderation
If there are resources requiring your special attention or new sources,
which content you’d prefer to check before publication, you can do
it simply by switching off their automatic publication. All the articles
from such sources will be collected in the special area of the administration
panel, where you will be able to edit article description, place it into
the correct category and make other adjustments.
If there is a source that you trust, just make initial setting and
forget about it – articles will be arriving on there own!
8. Add articles manually
Along with the articles published on your site automatically, you can
upload some news manually (the way you do it in a blog). Such news can be
created using WYSIWYG editor. Just as ‘automatic’ articles such
publications may contain short descriptions, images, sources where they
were taken from and so on.
9. Benefit from advanced report manager
If you wish to stay constantly updated on how the software works, you
can subscribe to the e-mail reports. The system will send you detailed
information on how many articles were grabbed, if there were any errors
or if there are articles requiring manual moderation. This feature is
especially useful if you use manual news moderation on your site. It is
also possible to back up all the reports on the server in case some of
them never reach you.
10. Create sites (links) catalogue
Today many web-sites are participating in link exchange. For your
convenience the system has a built-in sites catalogue with a capability
to categorize sites. Catalogue database is stored in a .dat file, which
makes this database easily transferable and synchronized (that is especially
useful if you run several web-sites). There is also an import and export
functionality for fast database exchange.
11. Use site statistics to control the size of your database
You can track the performance of the site using statistical data
collected on a daily basis. Here you can see how many articles are
currently published, the number or comments added by your visitors,
how much space require images uploaded on the server, or what is the
total size of your database.
12. Enjoy the fully automated system of the software update
The system has a built-in update mechanism connected to the central
server. Updates check runs automatically. A special indicator will alarm
you if a new version is available. Updates are installed in two steps:
firstly, information about updates, system version, description and other
data are stored in the database. Next, after a user confirms that he is
ready to install a new version, the archive will be downloaded from the
central server, automatically unpacked and installation will be completed.
Thus, your efforts on the software update are almost brought to nothing.
13. Limit permissions of system users
Content Master allows creating unlimited number if system users. It
is possible to define permissions of each user – one can have access
only to the news templates, the other may only manage site templates and
layout. Enjoy the full control over the system and its users.
14. Be sure that Content Master meets all the requirements for an up-to-date CMS
Each page and each article in the catalogue have the full list or required tags:
title, meta-keywords, meta-description.
All the document headers are spelled correctly – using
h1 – h6
tags.
Visual editor applies semantically correct tags
strong and em
and generates image ALT’s.
User Friendly URLs – links and page URLs are optimized
for search engine robots and can bee readable. E.g., URL’s will
look like this:
www.site.com/news/google-acquires-microsoft/
instead of
www.site.com/news/?ext=cat〈=4&nid=884
